Lung Cancer Screening at O2 Lung Centre
Lung cancer often develops silently, showing few or no symptoms until it has reached an advanced stage. That’s why early detection through screening is so important. With a low-dose CT scan, our specialists can detect even small abnormalities in the lungs that may not be visible on a chest X-ray.
What’s Included:
- Low-dose CT lung scan
- Post-consultation with a thoracic specialist
Benefits of Lung Cancer Screening:
- Early Detection: Identifies lung cancer in its earliest stages, when treatment is most effective.
- Improved Survival Rates: Detecting lung cancer early can increase the chance of cure by up to three times.
- Minimally Invasive Treatment: Early-stage cancers may be treated with less invasive keyhole surgery.
- Additional Insights: Screening can also reveal other smoking-related lung diseases, such as COPD or pulmonary fibrosis.
